NICE TO FIT YOU is a company offering dietary catering, the so-called “box diet”, with delivery to the address indicated. The company’s daily offer includes 35 dishes to choose from in seven diets. NTFY catering is available in over 120 cities throughout Poland. The company distributes a minimum of 7,000 packages (bags) daily.
Need/Challenge
Due to the projected increase in sales and the limitations of the current warehouse location, in 2018 the Management Board of NTFY decided to relocate to a new warehouse. The company needed support in scaling warehouse logistics. In the first stage of the changes, a technological and process concept for handling the new warehouse in the area of the packaging and preparation of shipments was developed. The Agilero logistics consultant verified the possibility of mechanizing the packaging process with the use of warehouse automation. In the second stage, the automatic preparation of shipments was supported by the implementation of a dedicated Agilero WMS system. An important challenge was also to build such architecture of IT systems in the company that would simplify the flow of information and documents between the warehouse and the sales department. The purpose of introducing changes in the NTFY warehouse logistics was to enable handling the growing volume of orders shipped, and flexible combination of meals within one order, as well as shifting or extending the cut-off time. As part of the development of the system, in October 2021, the release area was expanded and a twin sorter was launched. The scaled-up installation doubled NTFY’s distribution capacity.
